I was born to Frances and Eloy Romero in Raton, New Mexico.

 

This was my greatest purpose, my greatest commitment, honor, service and engagement in life was to raise my son, Sgt. Eli J Martinez. Who had love for God, family, friends, and our country of the United States of America. 

 

Eli was the only person I made the most sacrifices for, my love and care, consistency, loyalty, faithfulness were never diverted nor swayed. I remained dedicated as a mother, mentor, and friend to my son. Raising and preparing him in his life was the most enduring responsibility that I achieved, by the grace of God.

At the age of 17, Eli was unswerving in his decision to serve our country. "Mom, I want our family and friends and our country to always have its freedom..." and I too want my family, friends, country and our community of Pueblo to always have its freedom.

I am proud to be an American. Not only am I proud to be an American, I've been proud and am proud to be a working American! I have had at least one job, sometimes multiply jobs at the same time where I was compensated and I have also volunteered in various capacities.
